The .22 No8 Mk1 rifle was the only one built from scratch as a target rifle as it was not derived from any existing service marques. These rifles are now becoming scarce since the MOD destroyed all of their own stocks. This example is in very good condition considering it was probably built in the 1960’s, it is not dated but the front barrel band is marked ‘62. The bolt and action have matching numbers, the woodwork is numbered A12412 instead of A12422 which I suspect was a mistake when the rifle was first built. As you would expect the barrel is in very good mirror bright condition. It comes complete with a correct Parker Hale 5D twin zero target rear sight and Parker Hale FS2B globe fore sight fore competition shooting.
