This “GR” cyphered 1918 dated was sold “Out of Service” as shown by the marking on the Knox form. It was then converted by A G Parker at some point by lining the existing barrel with a “Parker Rifled” sleeve. If this had been done in service it would have been marked “No2 MkIV*” on the right hand side of the butt socket but this marking is not present. The overall condition of the rifle is very good especially the barrel. It has matching numbers in the correct font to the bolt, action & barrel and it benefits for have a windage adjustable rear sight, this is one of the nicest examples of these rifles that I have seen.
