This .22 B.S.A Co Long Lee Enfield was produced in .22 and is not a reworked .303 rifle, it has a solid barrel not sleeved. It is in full military specification including its volley sights. It has matching numbers to the action, barrel, bolt and rear sight. It also retains its original magazine as supplied which remains chained to the rifle. The military specification is completed with the piling swivel and its contemporary leather sling. The barrel is in good condition with some wear at the throat but clean and bright with good rifling. The rear sight leaf has calibration at 25, 100, and 150 yards. Private purchase rifles were not dated but it would certainly be c1900, it is in very good overall condition and is the only one that I have seen especially in this condition.
