Approved for Naval Service only and converted from the MkII Lee Metford. The markings on the right hand side of the butt socket show this to have started life as a B.S.A. & M Co Metford rifle. The left hand side of the butt socket shows the conversion to it’s current Sht .22 MkII status but the conversion date is not shown. It has matching numbers to the bolt, action, barrel and unusually is repeated on the butt. The barrel is solid not sleeved and is in good condition for its age. A rare training rifle in the .22 Enfield series.
