The CG63 Junior has a shorter stock and fore end than its full bore equivalent it also does not have a top hand guard. It was felt that the mild recoil of the .22 would make training the young shooter more comfortable, however because of its precision made standard it was also an excellent training rifle for the expert shot as well. The GF diopter rear sight with both horizontal and vertical micrometer adjustments was specially made for this rifle as was the fixed globe fore sight. Built on a m/96 action, this one being dated 1916, the main parts of the bolt bolt are also numbered to the rifle. In very good condition including the barrel which is bright with very good rifling, a rare and unusual target rifle for the novice or expert shot and a rare rifle for the Swedish Mauser collector, complete with an original Swedish target rifle sling.
