.303 B.S.A Co Magazine Lee-Enfield Rifle Mk1*

£1,595.00

This is a stunning example of a private purchase B.S.A Co Magazine Long Lee-Enfield Rifle. The rifle has superior woodwork and it was probably sold by George Gibbs of 39 Corn Street , Bristol. who shot and regulated it. Their name and address is engraved on the bolt dust cover and their serial number “B4368” is engraved on the trigger guard. It is in very good condition including the barrel. It is fitted with an AGP “Bisley Works” model 9G folding target sight along with a nickel plated fore sight protector and a “Parker’s Utilite” rear sight protector. In addition it has a contemporary leather sling and is complete with the clean kit oil bottle and pull through in the butt. Private purchase rifles were not dated but this one would be around C1900, it was originally designed for “Cordite” but has been Nitro Proofed at some point in its life. It would probable suit someone who home loads and is prepared to treat this 100+ year old rifle with the respect it deserves.
