The serial number on this No4 Mk2 rifle falls in the range of the PF309308 to PF359347 “Irish Contract”. It is in virtually un-issued condition still showing signs of the dried Cosmoline preserving wax around the butt socket. It has just returned from the proof house as it did not have the necessary civilian proof marks that are required on ex military rifles.
