.303 “Savage Lease Lend” Enfield No4 Mk1* service rifle. These rifles were generally produced with a two groove barrel but this example has had a Fazakerley F51 dated five groove barrel fitted, it also has a Fazakerley serial numbered bolt fitted possibly done at the same time. These rifles tended not to be dated but being marked “Lease Lend” its obviously war time manufacture. It is in very good overall condition including the barrel and it is fitted with the correct MkII rear sight. One of the rarer examples of the “Enfield” range it would be at home in a collection or as a very good range rifle.
