The Model 1911 carbine replaced both the Model 1905 Carbine and Model 1889/1900 short rifle being capable of firing the newer more powerful GP1911 cartridge. Except for the shorter barrel and overall length it is identical to the Model 1911 rifle. This example is in excellent condition with matching numbers throughout with a very good barrel that is clean and bright with very good sharp rifling.
